Wow Awesome, Some Minutes Ago King Charles Joyfully Shares His Personal Music Playlist in Surprise Move…. Check In

In addition to being monarch, Charles will be a DJ on March 10—and some of his selections are, admittedly, a bit unexpected.
King Charles’ personal playlist includes some unexpected additions, from Kylie Minogue to Bob Marley to Grace Jones, Raye, Davido, and more
The King shared his favorite jams as part of The King’s Music Room, described by Apple Music as a “celebration of music from across the Commonwealth,” the 56 nations across the globe that voluntarily claim Charles as head of state. Commonwealth Day is on March 10, and Charles’ personal playlist will be made available for free on Monday at 6 a.m. in the U.K. on Apple Music 1, with additional broadcasts taking place on Monday and Tuesday of next week, according to Town & Country.
The announcement on March 6 followed what the outlet called “a cryptic post on social media showing only an image of an ‘On Air’ sign. When quizzed on its meaning, a royal source remained tight-lipped other than to say that it related to an upcoming project.”
Buckingham Palace announced the King’s upcoming radio broadcast on Thursday. The program was recorded in his office at Buckingham Palace, and in a trailer for the broadcast released March 6, Charles said, “Throughout my life, music has meant a great deal to me. It has that remarkable ability to bring happy memories, comfort us in times of sadness, and to take us to distant places. But perhaps, above all, it can lift our spirits to such a degree, and all the more so when it brings us together in celebration.”
In other words, it brings us joy,” the King continued. “So this is what I particularly wanted to share with you—songs which have brought me joy.
Both King Charles and Kate Middleton missed the 2024 Commonwealth Day service last March—a staple in the royal diary—because of their respective cancer battles. The King announced his cancer diagnosis on February 5, and his cancer treatment continues; the Princess of Wales was diagnosed with cancer last February after a planned abdominal surgery in January, but didn’t announce her diagnosis to the public until March 22. She is now in remission, she said at a royal engagement in January of this year.
