Super Bowl 2025 commercials: Watch the best and worst ads so far with Meg Ryan, Billy Crystal and more stars…. Check In

From Ben Affleck and Jeremy Strong to Willem Dafoe and Catherine O’Hara, there are several star-studded commercials for Super Bowl LIX
Whether you’re a Kansas City Chiefs fan or rooting for the Philadelphia Eagles at Super Bowl 2025, or you’re not even someone who follows the NFL, we can all agree that part of the fun this Sunday is watching the ads. From funny commercials to star-studded ad breaks and even some emotional ones, several brands have already teased some interesting choices for Super Bowl LIX, taking place in New Orleans this year.
Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal reunite for a When Harry Met Sally-themed ad, and Ben Affleck is making us laugh for another year with a new Dunkin’ commercial, this time with Jeremy Strong. The Budweiser Clydesdales have also returned, and Matt Damon and David Beckham team up for a Stella Artois commercial.
Last year Dunkin’ easily had one of the best Super Bowl ads, and it looks like the brand is going to be at the top of the pack again. Casey and Ben Affleck having to contend with Jeremy Strong’s acting method is exactly the odd collaboration you want to see in these commercials.
Hellmann’s — When Sally Met Hellmann’s
Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal at Katz’s Deli in a nod to When Harry Met Sally — enough said! It has that great rom-com nostalgia, and the Sydney Sweeney appearance is a great way to end
Stella Artois — David & Dave: The Other David
I never thought I needed to see Matt Damon and David Beckham acting opposite each other, but I love it. If you squint really hard maybe they do look like they could be related, but this is a great duo for some great comedy (watch out Ben).
Michelob ULTRA — The ULTRA Hustle
You just can’t go wrong with Willem Dafoe and Catherine O’Hara, with the pair bringing the laughs as a winning pickleball duo in this commercial.
Pringles — The Call of The Mustaches
The Adam Brody love continues with this year’s Pringles ad, assembling some famous celebrity mustaches. The real takeaway is that I think we need Nick Offerman in Season 2 of Nobody Wants This.
Cirkul — You Got Cirkul
Definitely not a bad start for a first-time Super Bowl ad for Cirkul. Starring Adam Devine, it really leans into the frustration when any voice enabled device just doesn’t work properly.
Totino’s Pizza Rolls — Chazmo Goes Home
Sometimes dads want to have the E.T. experience and hang out with aliens too, or maybe be kind of rude to them so they leave. Comedians Tim Robinson and Sam Richardson are really what make this commercial work.
Budweiser — First Delivery
There’s a special place in my heart for Budweiser Clydesdales, with this year’s ad looking to be a particularly cute story to follow. But the last “horse walks into a bar” joke setup was a bit too heavy handed for my liking.
Shaboozey x Nerds
We love a sweet moment in a Super Bowl ad and that’s definitely what you get with Shaboozey teaming up with Nerds for this tribute to New Orleans. It likely won’t be among the most memorable commercials of the bunch. The sweetness of the ad made me start to love the giant gummy, instead of being slightly terrified.
Bud Light — Big Men on Cul-De-Sac
This year’s Bud Light ad looks like it’s resting on its star power to distract from a not-so-funny commercial idea. It’s not a bad ad, but it feels like there’s a lot more that could be done with Shane Gillis and Post Malone.
