Prince Louis struggles to keep surprise from Princess Charlotte at Westminster Abbey event…Read More
Princess Kate and her family were out in full force tonight as they attended the annual Together at Christmas Carol Service at Westminster Abbey
Prince Louis captured hearts with one adorable request to his mother regarding a secret he’d promised not to share with his big sister, Princess Charlotte, the Princess of Wales revealed tonight. Princess Kate was joined by her family, Prince William, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, at the Together at Christmas Carol Service at Westminster Abbey with other royal family members.
This year’s service marks a significant milestone for the future Queen, who has been gradually easing into her Royal duties after a challenging year following her cancer diagnosis earlier in March. At last night’s carol event, Kate reflected on the uncertainties she faced regarding 2024 when she hosted the celebration at Westminster Abbey for the fourth time last year.
However, while seeming to talk about the soloists from the Royal Ballet who performed during the service, Kate said that she had enlisted Prince Louis, six, to keep it a surprise for her daughter Princess Charlotte, nine. Chatting with songstress Paloma Faith, who performed at the service, she said she had asked Louis: “Can you keep a secret otherwise it won’t be a surprise for Charlotte, who loves her ballet dancing.”
The princess revealed that Louis had agreed and explained: “He has kept the secret for, what, nearly two weeks now
Kate shared: “For a six-year-old. And then this morning he said, ‘Mummy, please can I tell her – I’m bursting’. I did drop off, and he really wanted to tell her. I think – hopefully – he’s kept it.”
Princess Charlotte’s face brightened when the ballet dancers performed right in front of her, indicating that her younger brother had indeed kept his word. The Wales family were photographed entering the historic Abbey tonight, the same church where they tied the knot in 2011.
Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis visited a “Kindness Tree” situated outside the grand west door of the Abbey. They hung messages on the tree’s branches in honor of individuals who have supported them throughout their lives– in line with the service’s theme of love and empathy. The royal children were introduced to the Dean of Westminster, Dr David Hoyle when they first arrived with their father William.
