Meghan Markle and Prince Harry found Justine Bateman’s ‘disaster tourist’ jibe targeted at them ‘offensive’ after the Sussexes were called out for their publicity stunt at evacuation centers for LA fire victims. However, British journalist Neil Sean claimed that Meghan Markle is dumbfounded overall at the repeated backlash she’s facing and that a Hollywood personality is not coming out to defend her. In his latest video, the UK journalist said that Meghan Markle and Harry thought of issuing another statement amid the raging wildfires explaining why they turned up to help at the evacuation center but so far they have resisted it.

Meghan and Harry issued a statement in the wake of the tragedy that befell Los Angeles and they announced that their Motecoito apartment would be open to their friends in need. Then they were seen helping at evacuation centers ‘anonymously’ wearing masks and caps — though they were seen on the camera.

American filmmaker Justine Bateman called the ex-royals ‘ambulance chasers’. “Meghan Markle and Harry are no better than ambulance chasers. What a repulsive “photo op” they achieved. They are “touring the damage”? Are they politicians now? They don’t live here; they are tourists. Disaster Tourists. #PalisadesFire,” Justine wrote.

Responding to the remark, a source told Page Six, “It’s offensive to Meghan and Harry that anybody would think this is merely a photo opportunity.”
Meghan aides said Meghan is an LA girl and it’s beyond anyone’s understanding why she was being slammed for doing what she is expected as a free citizen –for doing what other celebrities are also doing.

While Justine slammed Meghan, no prominent voices from Hollywood supported Meghan in what can be seen as a signal of how Hollywood has turned its back on Meghan.
