Latest Update: What Meghan Markle Said In Her Negatively-Received Netflix Show Trailer…..See More
Meghan Markle’s Netflix cooking show is not getting the reception she or Netflix or anyone on the production team would have hoped for. The number of dislikes continue to eclipse the number of likes by a mile, and the comments are like a minefield.
Most of them speak on how Meghan Markle wants to be the champion of feminism and now she’s cooking, and cleaning, and entertaining – you know, the stuff they associate housewives with? Anyway, did Meghan really say anything to elicit such reaction?
Word on the street is that ‘With Love, Meghan’ has got one of the cringiest trailers in history. Said trailer is a two-minute long video that shows fans glimpses into Meghan’s homemaking ways, including cooking, arranging flowers, having fun little moments with celebrities like Mindy Kaling, and even a glimpse at that Prince. You know which one.
In the video, Meghan shared: “I’ve always loved taking something pretty ordinary and elevating it. Surprising people with moments that let them know I was really thinking of them.”
The Duchess was all smiles and hugs in the trailer, as she talked about her passion project, adding, “I’m going to share some little tips and tricks. I see what colour I gravitate to, and everything goes from there. And how you incorporate these practices every day. This is about connecting with friends. I love that we’re doing this together for the first time. Making new friends.. and just learning.”
So this is going to be a learning experience, not just for the former actress but for her viewers as well.
She concluded, “We’re not in the pursuit of perfection. We’re in the pursuit of joy. I have to get it totally wrong, to get it totally right.”
The 8-episode show will star Roy Choi, Mindy Kaling, Alice Waters, with additional acclaimed chefs and special friends.
With Love, Meghan’ is not receiving the kind of love it would have wanted. Let’s just say that commenters came prepared to tackle the cooking Duchess.
The funny thing is that most of us are looking forward to the South Park episode rather than the Netflix thing…” one fan wrote.
Another chose to advise Netflix on what could have been a better investment on the Sussexes. They said: “Netflix you have hours of real footage of how this woman treats people… Now that show would be a hit for sure!”
Another made mockery of the show’s description, which read that “everyone’s invited.” “Everyone’s invited! Except my dad, my sister, my brother, my nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, & oh yeah my husband’s entire family as well.”
