Latest Update: Meghan Markle dumps Harry for Valentine’s Day: ‘He should be glad Meg left…. Check In

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle spent several days together at the Invictus Games in Vancouver, but royal expert Hugo Vickers believes Meghan’s presence may have shifted the focus away from the event’s true purpose.
Meghan returned to California on Tuesday, leaving Harry to continue his work with the participants, just days before Valentine’s Day.
The Duke and Duchess’ affectionate displays during the Games drew attention, but their time apart has also fueled speculation about their increasingly independent lives. From Harry’s solo birthday hike to separate work commitments, questions have arisen about whether the couple is intentionally carving out individual paths.
Vickers previously compared Meghan’s speech at the Invictus Games to an “Oscars ceremony,” suggesting that her presence shifted attention away from the competitors. He believes that Harry’s solo participation would have been more appropriate, allowing the focus to remain on the athletes.
“In my view, Harry does better on his own,” Vickers told The Sun.
“When Meghan was there, it became the Meghan Markle Show.”
He speculated that Meghan’s early departure was intentional, allowing Harry to redirect attention to the Invictus participants.
“It’s a much better look for the Games to have Harry there alone rather than it being all about Meghan,” he added.
Are Harry and Meghan leading separate lives?
The couple’s time apart has only intensified rumors about the state of their relationship. Some royal watchers believe their recent public moves suggest they are gradually separating their professional and personal endeavors.
Vickers suggested that Harry may benefit from stepping into the spotlight alone, particularly when it comes to his personal projects. ”
The Invictus Games is a fantastic achievement, and it should really be about the participants,” he said.
“It’s a pity when the focus shifts elsewhere.”
Despite the speculation, the Sussexes appear to be redefining their public roles, focusing on their strengths. Meghan’s decision to return home to their children while Harry remains dedicated to the Games may signal a strategic effort to balance their commitments.
While their evolving dynamic continues to spark debate, one thing remains clear-Prince Harry is deeply committed to the Invictus Games and the veterans he supports, regardless of who is by his side.
