Hailee Steinfeld, known for her roles in Bumblebee and Pitch Perfect, recently opened up about her experience with anxiety. The actress, who is engaged to Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen, used her platform to discuss the importance of recognizing and addressing mental health
In the latest issue of her newsletter, Beau Society,Steinfeld answered fan questions, including one about her personal experience with anxiety.
She acknowledged that, like many people, she has often used phrases like “my anxiety is through the roof” without fully understanding what anxiety truly felt like.
However, as she has grown, she has learned to differentiate between stress, overwhelm, and actual anxiety episodes.
Rather than pushing through anxious moments or forcing herself into action, Steinfeld has developed a simple but effective approach: taking a step back.
“I take a step away from whatever is making me feel that way, sit, and do nothing,” she revealed.
She emphasized that there is often pressure to “do something” when experiencing anxiety, but for her, stillness is key.
“You can curl up with your favorite blanket and not talk to anyone for ten minutes.
Take a gentle pause.”
Steinfeld believes that allowing herself these moments of rest has been instrumental in managing her mental well-being
