Buckingham Palace sparks buzz by excluding Kate Middleton from Women’s Day tribute
In a shocking new move, the British Royal Family has excluded Princess Kate from the iconic tribute to mark the 2025 International Women’s Day.
On Saturday, March 8, the Royal Family of the United Kingdom took to Instagram to share some of the iconic portraits of the female royals to celebrate the big day.
The post featured images of late Queen Elizabeth II, Queen Camilla, late Queen Victoria, Princess Anne, late Queen Alexandra, and Duchess Sophie.
However, the Buckingham Palace’s post marked a noticeable absence of one of the key royals, Kate Middleton, whose portrait was not included in the tribute.
This shocking snub was quick to spark buzz among royal fans, who expressed their astonishment and questioned why the Princess of Wales was not included in the post.
“Can I know where the Princess of Wales photo is,” one asked.
Expressing disappointment, another penned, “Wow. Nothing about the Princess of Wales?”
A third questioned, “Where is the Catherine??”
“Not the mother of the future king? No respect,” one more expressed their anger.
Through the post, the Royal Family also expressed its “longstanding support” for female photographers as the portraits shared in the post were all photographed by women.
They also mentioned the names of each one of them who captured the iconic photographs.
