Jenny McCarthy shares video of husband Donnie Wahlberg ‘bawling his eyes out’ after Wicked…..See More
As someone told him lately, everyone deserves the chance to cry.
The New Kids on the Block member and Blue Bloods actor was reduced to an emotional mess after watching Wicked, as his wife Jenny McCarthy shared on social media.
In a video taken as the end credits rolled for the mega movie musical, McCarthy asks the camera, “Which one of us is bawling their eyes out?” as Wahlberg weeps audibly next to her.
“Don’t do it,” Wahlberg appears to tell McCarthy through tears. “It was so good.”
When asked by McCarthy if he’s doing okay, Wahlberg responds, “Yeah, I’m okay. Oh my god, it was so good.”
Dabbing his eyes, Wahlberg again reassures McCarthy that he’s doing okay, laughing and crying through it all.
The Saw actor, however, is not alone as the comments section is filled with commiserating reactions, with a lot of folks replying, “Same.”
Of course, Bowen Yang tried to warn y’all. The Saturday Night Live breakout, who plays Pfannee in the new big-screen musical, said that a private screening with his SNL cast mates in October left them all feeling like Donnie Wahlberg.
All of us were in shambles by the end,” Yang told PEOPLE. “Sarah Sherman was sobbing, and she was like, ‘I didn’t expect to love it this much.'”
He continued, “It will get you. It flattens every demographic. Everyone gets bowled over no matter what they’re going into it with, and I’ve never been a part of something like that. I don’t think I’ve seen a movie … have this universal impact.”
Starring Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba, who would go on to become the Wicked Witch of the West from The Wizard of Oz, and Ariana Grande as Glinda, her “Good'” counterpart, Wicked has garnered rave reviews and stellar box office since premiering on Nov. 22.
