Exclusive: Take Look At Your favourite Catherine evening look….See More
Hi Royal Clubbers,
Danielle here, and we’re sending our best wishes to the Princess of Wales on her 43rd birthday today.
To our great delight, just a few hours ago Kensington Palace released a commemorative photo of Catherine, alongside a personal message from her husband, the Prince of Wales, in which he referred to the Princess as his “incredible wife”.
The black and white portrait was taken in Windsor last summer by photographer Matt Porteous.
The striking image shows Catherine dressed smart-casually and posing with her hands tucked into the pockets of her jeans, as she beams off-camera.
Her attire and stance paints her as a relatable royal, while conveying her bravery amid a “brutal” year for the Waleses as Catherine underwent cancer treatment.
And in perhaps his most emotive message to date, William paid tribute to his wife, while declaring his love.
“To the most incredible wife and mother. The strength you’ve shown over the last year has been remarkable. George, Charlotte, Louis and I are so proud of you. Happy Birthday, Catherine. We love you. W.”
While Catherine is expected to spend the day privately with her family, we couldn’t resist looking back at some of her finest evening gowns to mark her special day.
Even before her marriage to Prince William in 2011 the ‘Kate effect’, as it was called, was going strong, and royal watchers have long pored over her every outfit and accessory.
While we love Catherine’s day-to-day looks, as well as her off-duty style, she has worn an enviable array of evening gowns over the years.
They are all showstoppers and so narrowing them down to just five was a tricky task but I’ve given it my best shot. I’m intrigued as to which dress will triumph. Without wishing to prejudice your choice, I particularly love the red Preen dress, which Catherine brought back in 2018.
If one of your favourites isn’t included, let us know which it is in the comments, as well as leaving your birthday messages for Catherine.
