The Archduchess of Austria-Este, Princess Astrid, visited India to lead Belgian Economic Mission
Princess Astrid is concluding her visit to India.
On the official Instagram handle of the Belgian Royal Family on Friday, March 7, it was shared that the Archduchess of Austria-Este wrapped her India trip with a visit to the Congo River, a dredger from a Belgian company, DEME.
Along with briefing about the Princess’s final visit, the Palace also shared a couple of snaps from the last day visit.
Captioning the post, the Royal Family penned, “On the last day of the economic mission #BEmissionIND, Princess Astrid visits the ‘Congo River’, a dredger from the Belgian company @demegroup, a world leader in dredging and sustainable maritime solutions.”
They continued, “With its subsidiary International Seaport Dredging, DEME plays a key role in India in the maintenance and development of ports and waterways.”
This visit also highlights the important strategic cooperation between @portofantwerpbruges and India’s largest port, Port Jawaharlal Nehru,” the caption concluded.
The Belgian Economic Mission to India, which was led by Princess Astrid, aims to strengthen Belgium’s economic ties with India by facilitating meetings between the companies of both countries, exploring new opportunities, and enhancing trade relation.
During the visit, the Princess also held meetings with India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other key ministers to discuss potential collaborations.
