Meghan Markle is still getting used to all the ups and downs of being a business owner.

In a new interview, Markle admitted she has made some “mistakes” while developing her lifestyle brand, As Ever, which has faced a series of trademark issues since its debut last year.

“There are tons of twists and turns — even with the name,” she told People Monday. “I was figuring it out in real time.”

In March 2024, Markle announced her new project, American Riviera Orchard — inspired by a nickname for Santa Barbara, Calif. — which a source told Page Six she had “been working for over a year.”

However, last month, the Duchess of Sussex revealed she was renaming it As Ever due to trademark setbacks.

Despite the issues playing out on the world stage, Markle told the magazine she has learned a lot from the experience.

“I appreciate everyone who gave me the grace to make mistakes and figure it out and also to be forgiving with myself through that,” she said. “It’s a learning curve.”

Along with the new name, Markle unveiled a brand-new website and logo, which seemingly paid tribute to her romance with Prince Harry.

Markle plans to sell her signature jam, homewares and other unknown products on the site, which is set to launch this spring.

However, she reportedly will not be able to sell clothes under the new name.

The royal, 43, faced yet another trademark issue after her application to sell aprons and other items received a “partial rejection” from the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

The office cited the similarities to the Chinese clothing company ASEVER, which supplies to stores like H&M.

“The marks are identical in sound and virtually identical in appearance and are thus confusingly similar for the purposes of determining likelihood of confusion,” the rejection document read, per documents obtained by the Daily Mail.

Markle has since removed mentions of clothing in her revised trademark application, which was ultimately approved

The “Suits” alum has been dealing with the slight hiccups while simultaneously working on her new Netflix show, “With Love, Meghan.”

Like her lifestyle brand, the series revolves around her personal passions — from cooking to crafting and decorating for dinner parties.
