The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have lived in California since 2020, the same year they quit life as senior royals in the UK.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle “hate” the fact they are not seen as A-listers in Montecito, a royal expert has claimed.
Tom Quinn, author of Yes Ma’Am, The Secret Life of Royal Servants , said the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are not considered to be really famous in Montecito, a Californian town they have called home since quitting royal duty in 2020.
The author exclusively told Fabulous: “The truth is that Meghan and Harry hate the idea that they aren’t seen as true A-listers in Montecito.
“They will have seen recent surveys published in the American press that claim the couple’s star is on the wane; that people have simply lost interest.”
The couple live on their sprawling Montecito estate with their two children Prince Archie, five, and Princess Lilibet, three. It is believed they have a host of famous neighbours including Katy Perry and Oprah Winfrey.
