In a chilling address, President Trump has warned of a potential World War III, describing it as “a war like no other” leaving many on edge
In an alarming address from the US President, Donald Trump declared that World War III could “very easily” happen, and described its potential as “a war like no other”.
Trump issued the terrifying warning on Friday night. In the same address, he said ceasefire talks between Russia and Ukraine are progressing, but warned of the consequences if the two countries were unable to agree to peace negotiations.
“I think we have it, I think we have it, but this could lead to World War III, very easily, could very easily lead to World War III. But I think we’re in pretty good shape, a lot better than where we were before we got involved,” Trump said, speaking to the Justice Department.
That was heading into World War III territory, that would’ve been a war like no other because of nuclear weapons, and other types of weapons that you don’t even wanna know about.”
He continued, “I think we’re doing well with Russia, we’re speaking with President Putin, we want to get the war over.”
The President then claimed America had sent a possible $ 350 billion to Europe, which experts believe to be higher than accurate, and talked about a deal that would eventually lead to getting the money back.
We’ve had some very good calls today with Russia, and with Ukraine, they’ve agreed to a ceasefire if we can get it with Russia. And it’s not easy. It’s a tough one.” he said.
Trump then said defiantly, “There would have been no war had I been president. It just 100 per cent would not have happened.”
Friday’s comments from the President come as Vladimir Putin demanded Ukrainian troops in Kursk surrender after Trump dramatically called on Russia to “spare” their lives.
Moscow has recently managed to recapture the vast majority of territory seized by Kyiv in its surprise cross-border assault into Kursk last August.
Putin insisted that if the Ukrainian forces surrendered they would be “guaranteed life and dignified treatment.”
While saying Russia was sympathetic to Trump’s plea, Putin remarked in a televised speech, “In order to effectively implement the US president’s call, (there needs to be) a corresponding order from Ukraine’s military-political leadership to its military to lay down their arms and surrender.”
Meanwhile, Volodymyr Zelensky admitted the situation in Kursk was “very difficult” but denied Trump’s claim that Ukrainian troops were encircled.
