Prince Harry has spoken about his son’s interest in landmines which gave the prince a chance to have a conversation about his mum, Diana.

At the Invictus Games, Prince Harry shared his eldest son’s curiosity about landmines, which has sparked a baffled response from royal fans.

During a candid conversation, the father-of-two spoke about a “very interesting conversation” between himself and his five-year-old son, Prince Archie, who has remained at their home in California during the Invictus Games. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are currently in Vancouver for the first-ever edition of the Winter Invictus Games.

Harry explained: “Archie was asking about landmines, so I was talking about how some of these guys [Invictus Games participants] were blown up.

I think IEDs [improvised explosive devices] are probably a bit too much at this point, but I found myself talking to him about mines when he was 5 years old.”

Royal fans have shared their thoughts on X about Harry’s candid conversation. One said: “I refused to believe that Archie asked about land mines.”
