Prince Harry responded to the wild rumours about his and and Meghan Markle’s relationships, in what has been branded a ‘strange’ decision by royal commentators

Prince Harry sparked a mixed reaction from Royal commentators after addressing the unhinged speculation surrounding his marriage to Meghan Markle and their living arrangements.

During an appearance at the New York Times DealBook Online Summit, Harry touched on various aspects of his life, including the persistent rumours – in a move that has been dubbed “strange” by commentators.

He told host Andrew Ross Sorkin: “Apparently, we’ve bought or moved house 10, 12 times. We’ve apparently divorced maybe 10, 12 times as well. So it’s just like, what?”

On The Royals podcast, The Times royal editor Kate Mansey and Sunday Times royal editor Roya Nikkah discussed Harry’s decision to publicly address the rumours.

Kate Mansey found it peculiar, stating: “I think it’s interesting that he’s addressing those rumours publicly, it seems like quite a strange thing to do. I think he’s rattled by a lot of what’s written about him and he always has been.”

She questioned the effectiveness of Harry’s approach, suggesting that acknowledging the rumours might inadvertently fuel the story.

Harry also appeared to put an end to speculation about a potential return to the UK, expressing his contentment with life in the US: “I very much enjoy living here and bringing my kids up here. It’s a part of my life that I never thought I was going to live.”

Harry also opened up about his life in the US, expressing deep gratitude for the lifestyle. He added: “I feel as though it’s the life that my mum wanted for me. To be able to do the things I’m able to do with my kids that I undoubtedly wouldn’t be able to do in the UK – it’s huge. That is a fantastic opportunity and I’m hugely grateful for that.”

The Express reports that these revelatory comments come after he and the Duchess of Sussex sent shockwaves through the UK in January 2020 by stepping down as senior royals and relocating stateside where they’re raising their children, Archie and Lilibet. The Duke was spotted rubbing shoulders with big names like tennis legend Serena Williams and billionaire Amazon owner Jeff Bezos at the star-studded event in New York.
