Breaking News: Whoopi Goldberg misses The View 2 days in a row after getting the flu: ‘Be careful…..Read More

Cohost Joy Behar announced at the top of Thursday’s episode that the Oscar-winning actress was out sick once again.
No, you’re not hallucinating: It’s not Friday (her usual day off), and Whoopi Goldberg still isn’t at The View’s Hot Topics table.
The Oscar-winning actress and talk show moderator missed her second consecutive episode of the live program, after moderator Joy Behar — who typically fills in for Goldberg when she’s out at the top of the weekend — confirmed that the 69-year-old performer still has the flu.
Whoopi is still out with the flu. It’s going around, be careful,” the 82-year-old told the audience, after revealing Goldberg’s diagnosis on Wednesday’s broadcast.
She continued: “We hope you’re feeling better, Whoopi. Come back soon!”
Entertainment Weekly has reached out to a representative for The View for comment.
Goldberg has been absent from the talk show several times in the past, due to her busy schedule and for health-related issues. In addition to contracting COVID in a few instances, she also took some time off in October 2023 to make a journey to Italy to meet with Pope Francis — and offer him a cameo in Sister Act 3.
Goldberg also missed the season 27 premiere of the show in 2023, after being diagnosed with COVID once again.
Behar also missed multiple broadcasts of The View in recent weeks, as she came down with an illness while preparing to launch her New York City stage play, My First Ex-Husband, earlier this year.
