In mid-xOctober 2025, a rumor resurfaced online (archived, archived, archived) that singer Taylor Swift and her fiance, Kansas City Chiefs player Travis Kelce, posted a pregnancy announcement on social media featuring them holding up ultrasound images.The image allegedly showing Swift and Kelce holding the ultrasound images traces back to at least March 2025, when one post (archived) received more than 22,000 reactions on Facebook, but the rumor recirculated after their engagement. For example, Facebook account USA Pulse Today posted the claim on Sept. 2, 2025. The post read:
JUST IN: “Baby NO.1 on the way”. Pop sensation Taylor Swift and NFL star Travis Kelce have announced that they are expecting their first child together. The couple, who have been making headlines with their high-profile relationship, celebrated the joyous occasion with a party in Florida. Social media has been flooded with congratulatory messages, as Swifties and NFL fans alike express their happiness for the couple
Variations of the rumor spread in September 2025 on other Facebook pages, as well. One user posted the claim (archived) on Oct. 14, then posted an image of a pregnant cat in the comments, clarifying that they meant their cat named Taylor Swift was pregnant.
Some readers seemed to interpret the rumor as a factual recounting of real-life events. However, there was no evidence of Swift and Kelce announcing a pregnancy. Numerous versions of the rumor have spread in the past, which we’ve previously debunked.

Rather, the rumor about Swift and Kelce’s alleged pregnancy announcement originated with the Facebook account USA Pulse Today — a social media account that displays numerous posts that appear to be AI-generated. The post in question linked to a story on an advertisement-filled website that began:Earlier versions of the claim linked to a story on a website that featured a disclaimer that it did not “warrant or make any representations concerning the accuracy, likely results, or reliability of the use of the materials on its website or otherwise relating to such materials or on any sites linked to this site.”
