Breaking News: This Surprising Royal Is The UK’s ‘Trump Card’ For Dealing With The US…..See More

British royal family news shows that the Royal Family and the sitting US President have long enjoyed a favorable and “special” relationship. In the past Donald Trump spoke highly of Queen Elizabeth and the two had official visits during his first term in office.
King Charles is now king, and Trump began his second term last month. There was the opportunity for a meet up between the two in Paris during the re-opening of Notre Dame cathedral. But, instead the monarch sent a representative and that had tongues wagging.
It was Prince William, the next monarch, who met with Donald Trump. GB News royal expert Cameron Walker told the Sun’s “Royal Exclusive” show that it is the Prince of Wales who is expected to maintain a cordial relationship with Trump going forward.
In a sense William is now the monarchy’s “trump card” with the US and Trump openly admires the royals, especially William.
He said “We know that royal sources and his aides want to push William into this global statesman figure and we know the Labour government isn’t going to get on much with President Trump and the Republican party in the U.S.”
News.co.au’s royal pundit Bronte Coy agreed that it “makes sense” for William, the Prince of Wales to “be pushed forward” since President Trump “has talked about how fond he is of Prince William.”
After their meeting in Paris, Trump told reporters that he and William “had a great, great talk.” He said “I asked him about his wife and he said she’s doing well. I asked him about his father and his father is fighting very hard, and he loves his father and he loves his wife, so it was sad.”
While Trump does not make friends everywhere he goes, Coy notes that Trump responds well “with people he has that relationship with, where he admires them, respects them, as he did with the late queen and does with King Charles.”
