Sydney Sweeney and Jonathan Davino have called off their wedding plans as they face growing pressure.
Sydney Sweeney has reportedly called off her upcoming wedding to fiancé Jonathan Davino due to mounting relationship tension and conflicting life priorities. The couple, who got engaged in 2022 after dating since 2018, had planned to marry this May. However, insiders claim that their relationship is currently in a “rough patch.”
A source told DailyMail.com that the couple is not fully separated but are “reassessing” their future together. “They are working on their relationship but have called off the wedding for now,” the insider said, noting that there are no further discussions about rescheduling the ceremony.
Sydney sparked speculation after deleting a photo of herself kissing Davino from an Instagram album shared to celebrate the New Year. The two have not been seen together publicly since January, and Sydney has reportedly been staying at the Beverly Hills Hotel since mid-February.
“She doesn’t have a lot of downtime, and it causes tension in their relationship,” the source explained. “Sydney is really focused on her career. Jonathan wishes they were able to spend more quality time together.”
Sweeney’s professional commitments have only grown in recent months. She is set to return to Euphoria for its third season and is starring in upcoming projects including Barbarella, a Christy Martin biopic, The Housemaid, and Scandalous!, in which she plays Kim Novak.
The insider added that public speculation over Sydney’s relationships with co-stars, especially during press tours, adds pressure to her romance with Davino. When promoting Anyone But You in 2023 with Glen Powell, rumours of an affair circulated, which both actors later admitted they leaned into for promotional purposes.
Although Sydney and Jonathan also run their production company Fifty-Fifty Films, they appear to be navigating personal challenges alongside their professional ambitions.
