Sooner or later someone was going to say something about the matter. There’s a new report that suggests Prince William might be lacking discipline, especially when it comes to royal family matters.

As many royal fans and critics on both sides of the aisle probably already know, both Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton skipped out on the Christmas lunch that was planned by King Charles earlier this week.

The move certainly raised a lot of eyebrows as a lot of people couldn’t help but wonder why the Prince and Princess of Wales would opt out of such a family affair. But if there’s one person who is concerned about this, it’s definitely King Charles.

According to the Daily Beast, one source close to the situation even put it this way, “It is another example of the couple’s growing confidence when it comes to challenging some long-established traditions which they are widely believed to consider tiresome.”

Charles would have liked them to be there, and the fact that he was either unwilling or unable to insist on it shows his inability to maintain family discipline.”

The insider added, “You can’t imagine anyone missing it when Prince Philip was around. Or you know, the late Queen.”

Now, whether or not Prince William did this on purpose because he wanted to avoid certain people, no one really knows but at this point it’s safe to say that Prince William is going to do things his way regardless of what anyone has to say about it.
