An expert believes Prince Harry’s subtle gesture in Meghan Markle’s new Netflix show speaks volumes.
One of the most recognisable faces in Meghan Markle’s new Netflix show trailer is her husband, Prince Harry, who briefly hugs his wife in a segment for the show – ‘With Love, Meghan’.
According to body language expert, Judi James, the brief but subtle gesture speaks volumes about how The Duke of Sussex views Meghan’s long-awaited cooking show project.
The expert told the Mirror that in the embrace they share on screen, Harry has a “facial expression of beaming pride and emotional reward for what she is achieving and who she is”.
Judi also added: “Meghan has swapped fierce feminism for friends, florals and fruit here in this mini-explosion of her personal depiction of love.”
She further explained how Meghan has invited the audience to “watch her Montecito ‘family'” on screen as she is surrounded by everyone she loves.
Meghan’s trailer for her show, which is due to launch on January 15, shows Meghan inviting friends and famous guests to share their love for food and friendship. It’s the Sussexes’ latest attempt at a TV comeback.
The show was announced just one day after she returned to Instagram and the caption beside her upload read: “I have been so excited to share this with you! I hope you love the show as much as I loved making it. Wishing you all a fantastic new year! Thanks to our amazing crew and the team @netflix. Beyond grateful for the support – and fun!
The body language expert also believes the trailer is a clear attempt at a rebrand. She explains: “Meghan’s latest career re-brand shows her down-dressed in basic shirts and aprons. Her vocal tone has changed to suit the intimacy of the scenes shown and to suggest quiet affection and of course a state of ‘love’.
“She uses the back of her throat to speak in a soft ‘creak’ that also becomes a whisper at one point.”
