Harry’s heartfelt defense of Meghan amid allegations
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have once again found themselves in the spotlight, facing renewed criticism after a recent Vanity Fair article delved into their life in Montecito. While the piece highlighted some of the positive aspects of their journey in the U.S., where they’ve resided for the past five years, it didn’t shy away from addressing some serious allegations aimed at the couple, particularly Meghan, now 43.
The article included claims from former employees who described challenging experiences while working for the Duchess of Sussex. According to Vanity Fair, some ex-staff members reportedly sought “long-term” therapy due to their time under Meghan’s leadership, while others accused her of displaying “Mean Girl” behavior. These allegations have added fuel to ongoing debates about the couple’s public and private personas.
Despite the claims, Meghan has had her defenders, none more prominent than Prince Harry himself. The Duke of Sussex, 40, has previously spoken out in support of his wife, portraying her as a kind and thoughtful leader. In his 2023 memoir Spare, Harry shared anecdotes that painted a very different picture of Meghan’s interactions with their staff during their time as working royals.
He wrote, “She sent out handwritten thank you notes, checked on staff who were ill, sent baskets of food and flowers or goodies to anyone struggling, depressed or off sick.” These details highlight a more compassionate side of Meghan that stands in stark contrast to the allegations brought forward.
