Spiritualist Deepak Chopra says the Sussexes relationship with the Firm could be solved if they agree to do one thing
Meghan Markle’s “spiritual guru” says King Charles is key to healing the “rift” with the Sussexes, but says there is one thing he has to do.
The relationship between Prince Harry, Meghan and the Royal Family has reportedly become strained after the release of Harry’s memoir, Spare, and their sit down interview with Oprah Winfrey.
But Deepak Chopra, an Indian-American alternative medicine practitioner who Meghan reportedly regards as her “spiritual guru”, believes spiritual guidance could bring the royals back together.
Chopra, who boasts three million followers on Instagram, believes the King would be a key figure in the process, reports Daily Mail Diary Editor Richard Eden.
Speaking to Eden, he said: “It would help if there were close alliances between the royals and spiritual help. I’ll be glad if [the King] did get spiritual advice to solve the problems between him and Harry.”
Since swapping the UK for America in 2020, Harry is understood not to be on speaking terms with his brother Prince William. According to Harry, the brothers have “barely spoken a word” since Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral in 2022.
As previously reported, Harry however is said to still have a relationship with his father. An insider says the King has “peace of mind” knowing that Harry is living happily in Montecito.
It is believed they last saw each other in February 2024 after it was revealed the King had been diagnosed with cancer, with the pair meeting for less than an hour.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, an insider said: “The fact is that Harry and Meghan are a source of strain and worry for His Majesty. While he is sorry that he does not have a relationship with his grandchildren in America, it is easier for his peace of mind that there’s an ocean between him and Harry.”
Despite Harry’s criticisms of his own family over the last five years, the King has remained tight-lipped on where he stands with his youngest son.
Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams however says the King is “likely relieved” by US President Donald Trump saying he would leave Harry alone after a row about his visa arrangements.
When asked if he would kick the Duke of Sussex out of the UK, Trump responded: “I don’t want to do that. I’ll leave him alone.”
