Breaking News: Meghan Markle ‘ignored’ most advice she received, including from Queen Elizabeth II: Report…..Read More

Meghan Markle recently re-launched her lifestyle brand, which was earlier introduced as ‘American Riviera Orchard’. In a post on Instagram, the Duchess of Sussex informed her fans that the new name of her brand is ‘As Ever’.
Markle’s U-turn over her lifestyle brand has come off as a little surprise to some associated with the British Royal family who have previously worked with her when she got engaged to Prince Harry in 2017, Daily Mail reported.
Royal family officials speak up on Meghan Markle
An official working for the British Royals said that Markle’s recent announcement is nothing but “further evidence of what we’ve seen time and again” with her.
The person stated that Meghan Markle must have been advised by many to not launch her company till the time everything was thought about carefully.
“Meghan was offered so much advice and support after she moved to Britain, including from the late Queen, but most of it she ignored,” the official added.
Despite the excitement around it, the company failed to sell a single product. Almost a year after its launch, Markle this week announced that American Riviera Orchard has been rebranded to As Ever.
Why was the name changed?
In the Instagram video, Meghan Markle explained that the rebranding was done due to problems they faced while registering the name ‘American Riviera Orchard’. This name is in reference to the high-profile locality in California where Markle and Harry stay with your children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
Markle said the previous name “limited” her to things which were being manufactured and grown in that area.
She has faced a lot of objections while trying to trademark the American Riviera Orchard name. Last year, an application in this regard was denied by the US Patent and Trademark Office, stating that businesses were not allowed to trademark geographic locations.
Apart from this, the logo for the brand, which Markle apparently designed herself, got criticised for being ‘inaccurate’ as the ‘O’ letter for Orchard wasn’t visible easily in it.
