Even the Duchess of Sussex has a fangirl moment on her new Netflix show ‘With Love, Meghan’

Meghan Markle has a fangirl moment in her new Netflix show, With Love, Meghan.

In the finale episode of the eight-part series, Meghan, 43, is planning a celebration lunch and invites a special guest to help her in doing so. Chef and restaurateur Alice Waters — an innovator in the farm-to-table movement — makes a guest appearance in the episode called “Feels Like Home,” enlisted to help Meghan make a salad from the garden.

Before Waters’ arrival, Meghan wrapped a gift she wanted to give to her, saying, “I used to teach a gift-wrapping class when I was an auditioning actor, and there are a couple [of] tricks that I think you never forget and will make gift-wrapping easier forevermore” before sharing “the most important thing” — “double-sided tape,” the Duchess of Sussex said.

Meghan is awestruck by Waters and told her, “I feel like you’re watching me fall in love. It’s very awkward. I’m so sorry. I’m blushing.”

“You are speaking my language, but it’s a language I learned from you,” Meghan continued.

Meghan is throwing a “fun brunch for family and friends for my business” in the season finale, saying earlier in the episode, “I love a brunch party. There’s just something really charming about it, and I think it’s a great way to connect.”

“Of course my husband will be here, my mom will be here, my best friend since college, just my community,” she added. “Having a brunch in the sunshine with the people that I love, celebrating this next chapter of my life.”

While spending time with Waters, Meghan told her about her son Prince Archie’s Chick Inn, which was seen in Meghan and Prince Harry’s bombshell 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey.

“I think what’s really cool is whatever is going on in life, to be able to do something like this, it’s just fun,” Meghan said. “It’s fun for kids and for adults.”

As they sample the salads they made, Meghan said, “It just tastes like home. And I’ve missed California.”

Elsewhere in the episode, Meghan created a menu for the brunch, written in the calligraphy she has become so well-known for. “In school, I got an A- in penmanship class, but you know what? I was like, ‘I’ll take the minus for a bit of character,’ ” she said.

Meghan — whose childhood nickname was “Flower” — used flower sprinkles for the brunch and said, “I like beautiful flowers on things.” Reiterating the plans for the brunch, Meghan said, “My mom’s coming today, my lovely husband’s popping by, great friends that are such a huge part of my life — so it should be fun and definitely no pressure, just a good time.”

“We’re not in the pursuit of perfection, we’re in the pursuit of joy,” she added later.

Prince Harry seemed impressed with Meghan’s efforts, telling his wife of nearly seven years, “Well done.”

“You did a really great job,” Harry continued. “I love it.”

With her new series, the Duchess of Sussex is sharing her personal passions— including cooking, hostessing and decorating — with her biggest audience yet.

Speaking to PEOPLE in this week’s exclusive cover story, “When your children get to a certain age — when you’re not just playing in the sandbox with them but almost playing in your own sandbox again — it’s super joyful. As a woman, a mom and a wife, to be able to find yourself again — in a way that was always present but that you maybe couldn’t put as much attention on as you now can when your kids are a little bit older — is a wonderful feeling.”
