Celebrities who have posted about sadly losing their homes and the ongoing destruction include Paris Hilton, Mandy Moore and Eugene Levy.
Firefighters are bravely battling the flames and attempting to get the fires under control, but are currently facing water shortages which makes relief efforts more difficult.
During this crisis, fundraising efforts have begun as the global community rallies around those impacted.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are among those doing what they can to help those impacted by the fires.
Town and Country have confirmed that the couple’s Archewell Foundation has made donations to relief efforts and that they have donated clothing, children’s items, and other essential supplies.
Meghan and Harry have reportedly also opened their Montecito home to loved ones forced to evacuate and have shared a heartfelt statement to their website, Sussex.com.
If a friend, loved one, or pet has to evacuate and you are able to offer them a safe haven in your home, please do. And be sure to check in with any disabled or elderly neighbors to see if they need help evacuating,” the statement read. “Some families and people have been left with nothing. Please consider donating clothing, children’s toys & clothing, and other essentials. The American Red Cross is on the ground helping those in need.”
On Friday, the couple were also spotted visiting Pasadena where they met with emergency workers fighting the Eaton fire and handed out food to evacuees.
Our thoughts are with everyone impacted by this tragic event.
