Breaking News: Fox NFL Sunday tipped to move star ousted by $375m Tom Brady contract in to replace Jimmy Johnson after his retirement….Read More

Greg Olsen has been vocal about how unhappy he is with being a No. 2 broadcaster
JIMMY Johnson has retired from Fox NFL Sunday and the network is in need of a replacement.
While they might want a Super Bowl winning coach like Johnson to replace him, they might have somebody already on their roster to take over.
Greg Olsen was demoted by Fox when Tom Brady joined the network.
He has been vocal about how unhappy he is not calling the top games in the league.
“In my mind, I’m going to call big-time games again,” Olsen told the Charlotte Observer.
“I’m going to call Super Bowl games again. I just don’t know the timeline or the venue.”
Olsen knows that he probably can’t return to the No. 1 spot at Fox as long as Brady is there.
“It’s pretty clear that the path, the upward trajectory as far as Fox goes, probably is a non-factor,” he said.
“I don’t know what the future holds. I enjoy working at Fox. Fox has been very good to me.
“They know. I’ve been very honest with them that I’m not content just calling one o’clock regional games for the rest of my career.”
If Olsen isn’t happy being the No. 2 guy to Tom Brady, why not try him out on Fox NFL Sunday.
He was a fan-favorite broadcaster when in the No. 1 booth, so plenty of fans would tune in to Fox NFL Sunday to listen to him.
A wrinkle in the plan is that Olsen only has two years left on his contract with Fox.
If he truly has a desire to be a No. 1 broadcaster again, Olsen would probably leave the network after two years on Fox NFL Sunday.
One fan suggested that Fox could move Tom Brady to Fox NFL Sunday and elevate Olsen to the top booth.
“Time to move Tom Brady to the studio and Greg Olsen to the #1 booth,” @WaddleandSilvy said on X.
“Brady would be better in a non game situation & the booth is better with Olsen.”
