Breaking News: Does J. Lo Know More About This Jay-Z, Diddy Assault Case Than We Think??….Read More
The official lawsuit against the two rappers mentions an anonymous third female celebrity was present for the alleged assault.
Jennifer Lopez might find herself in the same boiling hot water as her ex-boyfriend, Sean “Diddy” Combs, and Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter after the singer was caught on camera fighting with Diddy on the same night of the alleged rape.
The world was shocked when Jay-Z was named in an amended civil lawsuit which accused him alongside Diddy of raping a 13-year-old girl. The accuser claims the assault took place at an afterparty for the 2000 MTV Awards in New York City.
According to the suit, the accuser was invited to the after-party by Diddy’s limousine driver. The driver allegedly told Jane Doe the disgraced Hip-Hop mogul liked younger girls, and she “fit what Diddy was looking for.”
The suit, interestingly enough, also claims “Another celebrity stood by and watched as Combs and Carter took turns assaulting the minor.” Although this celebrity hasn’t yet been named, the lawsuit confirmed the celebrity bystander was a woman and was very easily recognized by the alleged victim.
J. Lo isn’t named in the suit, and there isn’t any indication that she could be this “mystery celebrity,” but resurfaced pictures of her at the alleged afterparty are raising eyebrows.
The photos in question, obtained by DailyMail.com, show Lopez engaged in what looks like a heated argument with Combs on the night in question. The former couple dated publicly for two years. Lopez hasn’t been directly connected to any of Diddy’s slew of criminal and civil complaints, but this wouldn’t be the first time the “Selena” actress was involved in Diddy’s shenanigans.
In case you forgot, back in 1999, Diddy and J. Lo were at a Manhattan nightclub when a fight broke out, leading to gunshots and resulted in three people injured. Although Lopez, Diddy, and his bodyguard Anthony “Wolf” Jones fled the scene, they were eventually stopped by the police with a gun in the vehicle.
The couple called a quits in 2001, one year after the alleged rape. The civil lawsuit was originally filed by Jane Doe in October. At that time, only Diddy was named as a defendant along with a mysterious “Celebrity A.” But on Dec. 8, the suit was refiled to include Hov’s name, The Root previously reported.
The anonymous accuser is seeking unspecified damages. The lawsuit against both Carter and Combs is filed under New York’s Victims of Gender-Motivated Violence Protection Act.
