After a tough 12 months, the Prince and Princess of Wales have farewelled 2024 and welcomed the new year.
Catherine, Princess of Wales, and her husband Prince William have shared a sweet New Year message following a trying year marred by her cancer battle.
The beloved royals shared a number of photos on their Instagram page, including candid shots and video of the couple walking in the woods with their children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
“2024,” they wrote, with a green tick emoji. “Happy New Year! Wishing you all a wonderful 2025!”
The delightful photos also featured the family on the balcony of Buckingham Place.
In March last year, Catherine, announced she was undergoing preventive chemotherapy after an undisclosed type of cancer was found during major abdominal surgery in January.
She has not revealed the type of cancer for which she was treated and the diagnosis remains undisclosed.
The New Year’s photos included pictures of her first duties back at work, which included being with Prince William to meet families of the Southport stabbings victims.
Other photos showed Prince William with Prince George and Princess Charlotte meeting Taylor Swift at Wembley Stadium.
The princess invited her to come to Windsor Castle, where they were photographed in an embrace.
A number of royal fans and watchers took the opportunity to wish the Prince and Princess of Wales a happy New Year.
“Wishing you much happiness and health in 2025,” a fan wrote.
“Blessings to the future king and queen and their beautiful children. May 2025 be peaceful.”
“Happy new year to such an incredibly inspirational Prince and Princess! Wishing the best for continued health and happiness to the amazing princess and family.”
