Both Meghan and Camilla have suffered heartache due to their dogs

Although they live far away from one another, both Meghan Markle and Queen Camilla have experienced heartache due to their pet dogs recently.

Just last Tuesday, Markle announced that her beagle had passed away. As for the Queen, she lost her Jack Russell Terrier, Beth, in late November.

Meghan made the announcement on Instagram, which some believe could be an ‘olive branch’ to the royal family. The Duchess of Sussex uploaded a video montage of her dog Guy, who she adopted from a Canadian dog rescue in 2015, in tribute.

There were no shortage of interactions between Markle and Guy, as well as Prince Harry. In one of the snaps the Prince of Sussex can be seen playing with the dog.

“If you followed me on instagram back in the day, you saw a lot of him – and on The Tig too. He was with me at Suits, when I got engaged, (and then married), when I became a mom….he was with me for everything: the quiet, the chaos, the calm, the comfort,” wrote Markle.

I have cried too many tears to count – the type of tears that make you get in the shower with the absurd hope that the running water on your face will somehow make you not feel them, or pretend they’re not there. But they are. And that’s okay too.”
