MEGHAN Markle has been ruthlessly mocked by Jimmy Fallon for personalising pretzel bags in her new Netflix show.
The Duchess of Sussex, 43, was mentioned during a Trivia Night segment on NBC’s The Tonight Show on Monday.
Fallon’s sidekick Steve Higgins asked the 50-year-old chat show host: “Ready, you’re going to get this.
“What is the number one question that mystifies scientists? Number one question.”
He guessed: “Is there life on another planet?”
Higgins, 61, replied: “Oh, no. Why does Meghan Markle make her own pretzel bags? They don’t know why
The audience and Fallon himself erupted into laughter at the joke about Meghan.
Fallon said: “That’s interesting. She takes it from one bag and puts it in another bag, and that confuses people.”
In a scene from her new show, she transfers pre-packed pretzels from Trader Joe’s into a personalised bag for makeup artist Daniel Martin.
She also labels the peanut butter pretzel snack she is putting on his guest bedroom tray because “you always want to be conscious if someone has a nut allergy”.
The duchess explains: “I know that Daniel (Martin) loves peanut butter but I’m going to label this anyway, you always want to be conscious if someone has a nut allergy.
“I’m packing this all up so I can take it home and prep the guest room.”
The Great British Bake Off judge, 85, was promoting the second series of Prue Leith’s Cotswold Kitchen.
She was asked if she had seen Meghan’s new lifestyle series, which also involves cooking and entertaining guests.
“I’ve only read about it (the show), but I honestly wouldn’t watch it,” she told ITV’s Good Morning Britain (GMB).
Asked why, she added: “Well, I’m not a Meghan Markle fan.
“I don’t know (why), all that sort of touchy-feely mindfulness, endless worrying about what creams you put on your hands.
“I just think there’s more to life than how you look and how your friends think of you.”
She added: “I’ve probably alienated half my fans.”
One review in The Guardian described it as a “gormless lifestyle filler” and “so pointless it might be the Sussexes’ last TV show”.
While The Telegraph gave it two stars and branded it “insane” and an “exercise in narcissism”.
Piers Morgan branded the show “unwatchable” after watching only a few minutes of it.
Hours after it premiered, Meghan officially launched her As Ever brand.
The former Suits actress has also announced a second series of the show as well as the launch of a new podcast called Confessions Of A Female Founder.
