Breaking: Jake Paul and Gervonta Davis begin to prepare for their fight with Floyd Mayweather in their sights…..Read More
Tank Davis reiterated the challenge and The Problem Child was quick to respond
The profits generated by Jake Paul in his fight against Mike Tyson became a magnet for many boxers to jump on the bandwagon of challenges to The Problem Child, some disguised the reason with the excuse of wanting to avenge their idol and boxing legend.
Many fighters have expressed their interest in giving Jake Paul a chance in a ‘serious’ fight beyond a great media spectacle, including the most recent being the legendary former American champion Roy Jones Jr., but also on the list are Ryan Garcia, Daniel Dubois, Artur Beterbiev and Gervonta Davis, who after announcing his retirement for 2025, is looking for big purses to cash in on his last two fights, after attending the commitment against Lamont Roach Jr., to expose his lightweight title of the WBA.
After Jake Paul defeated Iron Mike, Tank filled The Problem Child with insults: “To the dumb clown who shared the ring with Mike, you’re a dumbass for this you did and you couldn’t even get the job done… Shithead,” Davis wrote in an Instagram story, before paying tribute to Tyson’s career: “You’ll always be a legend… Whether they like it or not, and there will never be another like you! And I understand you very well… All this shit doesn’t mean anything,” but apparently the annoyance didn’t stop there and they have already resumed the conversation
Afterwards, Gervonta issued a threat in which he said that when he caught him he would give him “an uppercut, a jab, a left hook”, while Jake Paul replied at the press conference after beating Mike Tyson that “he would be willing to fight, let’s do it”, said Paul, before asking: “Is there a height limit in boxing?”, because of the difference that would be between a lightweight against a cruiserweight.
Jake Paul responds to Gervonta Davis’ new challenge
After announcing his intention to retire in 2025 and during the promotion of his next fight, Gervonta Davis recalled his pending fight with Jake Paul, when questioned in an interview about the interview with Mike Tyson.
“Who told Mike Tyson to fight anyway? Yes (it tarnished Tyson’s legacy). It definitely did. For some money,” he said, before reiterating the challenge to The Problem Child: “Yes, tell him. This is my call. Jake Paul, what’s up? What’s up Jake Paul?”.
Floyd’s little son calling me out? Come on little Tank, you know better. I saw you pretend you didn’t know who Amanda Serrano and Katie Taylor are… Do better and maybe someday I’ll give you a platform to shine again after that basic and cheap press conference you just had,” Jake Paul responded via his X account.
