Sometimes, even movie stars and the most prominent celebrities prove they’re just like all other parents. That was the case with Ben Affleck recently, when his youngest of three children, Samuel (13), had his eye on a $6,000 pair of shoes.

Affleck and his son recently attended a sneaker convention, where Samuel spotted a pair of Dior Air Force 1s. The Justice League and Gone Girl star’s reaction to his son eyeing the expensive kicks (which, of course, were almost his exact size) didn’t disappoint.

after seeing the price, Affleck’s response to Samuel was even better, as Got Sole revealed on Instagram.

Affleck added that his son only liked the shoes because of the lofty price tag, but Samuel was quick to respond.

“No, they’re tough! I always said they look good,” Affleck’s son said.

Affleck has three children with ex-wife and actress Jennifer Garner. Samuel is the youngest, Seraphina is 16 and their oldest, Violet, is 19.

The father-son duo were also recently spotted at a Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Los Angeles Lakers game on Thursday, Feb. 27.

While the bonding experience of watching LeBron James, Luka Doncic, and the Lakers likely came with a lofty price per ticket, that cost was surely easier to swallow than the idea of spending $6,000 on a pair of shoes.
