Actor and creator Mindy Kaling has finally reacted to the criticism of Meghan Markle’s lifestyle series, With Love, Meghan. The show premiered on Netflix on March 4.

Actor and creator Mindy Kaling is finally opening up about that highly-talked-about episode of Meghan Markle’s lifestyle series, With Love, Meghan. Kaling appeared as a guest on one of the episodes, where Markle lightly reminded her that she is “a Sussex now” after the actor kept addressing her as Meghan Markle.

The incident sparked criticism of the Duchess of Sussex online. Mindy laughed off the trolls and said during an appearance on The View, “You know, I had a great time. I noticed that whenever I do something, anything related to Meghan, it becomes… big news. We were making sandwiches, and then they would push in on my face on TikTok, and they would be like, ‘Look at this emotion you felt,’ and I honestly did not even remember it because we shot it like, nine months ago.”

“I am also like, ‘let her promote her show’. It was great and really fascinating seeing the reaction,” Kaling added.

In the episode, Markle and Kaling were seen having a fun time bonding as they prepared some healthy snacks. The pair also pepped up the place.

Meanwhile, With Love, Meghan has not been greatly received by critics. India Today Digital gave it 1.5 stars in its review and called it “pretentious.”

The series premiered on Netflix on March 4. It has already been renewed for a second season.
