February 13 marked one year since the announcement of Meghan Markle’s new podcast, this time with Lemonada Media after Meghan and Prince Harry’s deal with Spotify ended.

It was with Spotify that Meghan released her 12-episode 2022 podcast Archetypes, which featured guests like Paris Hilton, Mindy Kaling, Andy Cohen, Serena Williams, and Mariah Carey, among a slew of others. After inking deals with Spotify, Netflix, and Penguin Random House following their 2020 step back from working royal life, Harry and Meghan left Spotify in June 2023. At the time, Spotify and Archewell Audio—Harry and Meghan’s company—said in a joint statement, “Spotify and Archewell Audio have mutually agreed to part ways and are proud of the series we made together,” referring to Archetypes.

Eight months later, Meghan announced her new partnership with Lemonada, saying in a statement, “Being able to support a female-founded company with a roster of thought-provoking and highly entertaining podcasts is a fantastic way to kick off 2024.”

Our plan to re-release Archetypes so that more people can now have access to it,” she added, and less than a month later, the show was made available on all platforms (not just Spotify) on March 5 of last year.

Over a year later, all remained quiet on the podcasting front, but a new interview with People sheds some light on what interested parties can expect: a show this spring, Meghan told the outlet.

Speaking to Variety when the show was originally announced last year, Meghan called the project “dynamic,” and Jessica Cordova Kramer, co-founder of Lemonada Media, said of the Duchess of Sussex that “Meghan’s talent as host, creator, and conversationalist is unparalleled, and we are thrilled to co-create a new series with her that fosters her approach to creating art that matters.”
