Breaking: Trump slams Zelensky for ‘worst statement’ as he makes 4-word war prediction…..See More

Donald Trump has been increasingly critical of Zelensky in recent weeks, and there’s no sign of the US President slowing down.
In a stern rebuke on Truth Social, President Donald Trump lambasted Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Monday, claiming Zelensky is averse to peaceful resolution following his comments late Sunday.
Responding to Zelensky’s assertion that the conflict between Ukraine and Russia “is still very, very far away,” Trump’s post represents a further escalation of his disapproval towards Ukraine’s leadership.
Late Sunday, Zelenskyy said: “I think our relationship (with the U.S.) will continue, because it’s more than an occasional relationship,” referencing Washington’s support throughout the past three years of war, reports the Irish Star.
Trump’s post on Monday read: “This is the worst statement that could have been made by Zelenskyy, and America will not put up with it for much longer!”
Trump added: “It is what I was saying, this guy doesn’t want there to be Peace as long as he has America’s backing and, Europe, in the meeting they had with Zelenskyy, stated flatly that they cannot do the job without the U.S.
Trump continued: “Probably not a great statement to have been made in terms of a show of strength against Russia. What are they thinking?”
During his tenure as President, Trump faced impeachment proceedings stemming from a phone call with Zelenskyy, where he was accused of exerting pressure on Ukraine to probe then-presidential candidate Joe Biden.
Recently, Trump hinted that he could rapidly broker an end to the conflict, albeit without divulging the specifics of his approach.
Zelensky has consistently expressed his appreciation for the support from the U.S., asserting that ongoing military aid is vital for Ukraine’s resistance against Russian hostility.
While the Biden administration advocates for increased funding for Ukraine, some Republican lawmakers have opposed additional assistance.
The conflict, which commenced with Russia’s full-scale invasion in February 2022, is now in its third year with no definitive end in sight.
Despite recent diplomatic turmoil among Western nations providing Ukraine with military equipment and financial support, Zelenskyy remained publicly optimistic. This development is unfavorable for Ukraine, whose under-equipped army struggles to hold off the larger Russian forces.
Zelenskyy was in London to participate in U.K. Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s initiative to unite his European peers in maintaining – and likely significantly enhancing – support for Ukraine amid political instability in the U.S. and Trump’s overtures to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Europe remains wary of Trump’s intentions and tactics. Friedrich Merz, who is expected to be Germany’s next leader following the recent election, stated on Monday that he didn’t believe last Friday’s Oval Office incident was spontaneous.
He mentioned that he had repeatedly watched the scene unfold. “My assessment is that it wasn’t a spontaneous reaction to interventions by Zelenskyy, but apparently an induced escalation in this meeting in the Oval Office,” Merz commented.
