Breaking: Snoop Dogg Has Quite the Family: Meet His 4 Kids…..See More

The rapper and Martha Stewart’s bestie has a growing family with plenty of little ‘granddoggs’ as well.
Snoop Dogg, born Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr., rose to prominence in the early 1990s when he featured on Dr. Dre’s early music. He released a rap album of his own in 1993 and later added record producer and actor to his list of accolades.
These days, Snoop is known as much for his iconic personality as his rap career. From his cooking show with Martha Stewart to his role as “special correspondent” for NBC during the Paris Olympics, pretty much anything with his name on it is a guaranteed success. But not everyone knows that he’s also a family man with children and grandchildren of his own.
Here’s a look at Snoop Dogg’s kids and his marriage to his high school sweetheart.
How many kids does Snoop Dogg have?
Snoop Dogg has four kids—three sons and one daughter. Like many celebrities, he starred in a 2000s reality show (Snoop Dogg’s Father Hood) about his life at home.
In 2007, he told People about the show, “Ninety percent of rappers grew up without fathers, but you see ninety percent of those rappers becoming fathers to their kids. We don’t ever get commended for that. We become real men when we get to this level we’re at right now.”
Who are the mothers of Snoop Dogg’s kids?
Snoop Dogg’s two oldest sons, Corde and Cordell, as well as his daughter Cori, are shared with wife Shante Broadus. His youngest son, Julian, is from his relationship with ex Laurie Helmond.
How many times has Snoop Dogg been married?
In a feat that’s impressive in Hollywood—or anywhere—Snoop Dogg has only been married once: to his high school sweetheart Shante Broadus. The two met at Long Beach Polytechnic High School in California and attended prom together before graduating in 1989.
The couple got married in 1997 and, aside from a brief breakup in 2004, have been together ever since.
When asked why his marriage has lasted through the years on Today, Snoop Dogg replied, “I think because we were both young and we were both willing to sacrifice for each other. She knew what my dreams and goals was, and at the same time, I knew what hers were.
“To have a family and to be who we are…we both wanted to get to that goal, and when we reached it, it was hard, definitely, because you got so many different things pulling you away from marriage, and people divorcing every other day,” he continued. “But when you truly love somebody, there ain’t nothing you can do to break that up and I feel like that was true love at first sight.”
However, during their marriage, Snoop has been accused of cheating several times and had a kid with Laurie Helmond while he was still married to Shante.
