Breaking News: Chiefs’ Travis Kelce ‘100 Percent’ Has a Future In Hollywood Upon Retirement….See More

The Kansas City Chiefs star is already being pegged for a post-retirement career in Hollywood.
Travis Kelce has had a number of non-football related endeavors over the years. From charity, to his New Heights podcast with his brother Jason, and now getting involved in Hollywood, the Kansas City Chiefs star is a hot commodity.
Kelce previously made a cameo in the comedy show Moonrise 8 in 2020, and had his first true acting role in 2024’s Grotesqurie, portraying Ed Laclan in five episodes of the series.
Kelce has now also jumped behind the scenes, being an executive producer for the independent film “My Dead Friend Zoe,” which premiered at South by Southwest last year and is set to hit theaters on Friday.
At its core, this is about a complicated friendship, a divided family and the complex ways in which we process grief,” the film’s official website said.
According to Variety, it’s the first film to be financed with green energy tax credits.
While Kelce is not ready to retire from football, one of his coworkers on My Dead Friend Zoe, producer Paul Scanlan, says Kelce “100%” has a future in Hollywood.
“Even just seeing what a difference it’s made having him involved in our project, I would say yeah,” Scanlan told PEOPLE on Monday. “He’s such a likable guy and he’s a good actor. I mean, he’s proven that he’s been in some good material. And he’s a good producer.”
It’s an independent film, having Travis involved has made a really huge difference in allowing the film to kind of bat above its average weight,” Scanlan said.
Kelce said in a statement last week that he’s “proud to be a part of” the film and hopes to continue working on similar projects “that entertain, inspire and make a real impact.”
The film has a number of notable actors attached, from megastar Morgan Freeman, who portrays “Dr. Cole”, to Ed Harris of “Apollo 13” and “The Truman Show” fame.
The film stars “The Walking Dead” and “Star Trek: Discovery” star Sonequa Martin-Green as Merit and “Grey’s Anatomy” and “The Middleman” star Natalie Morales as Zoe.
This won’t be the last we see of Kelce in Hollywood. He is set to make a cameo appearance in the upcoming “Happy Gilmore 2.”
