New York Post Entertainment has all the latest news on the royal family, from Kate Middleton and Prince William to King Charles and Queen Camilla, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, and more.
Queen Camilla has a new fur baby.
King Charles’ consort, 77, revealed the news about the royal family’s newest member during a trip to Canterbury in southeast England on Tuesday.
“I’ve just got a new puppy who’s eight weeks old,” Camilla told a well-wisher who turned out for her visit.
Asked what kind of dog she adopted, the Queen responded, “Well, you may well ask! It’s a bit of everything. It’s a rescue dog.”
During the exchange, captured in a video posted on X by the Daily Mail’s Rebecca English, Camilla also shared that the dog is named Moley because it “looks just like a mole!”
Reportedly a female puppy whose mother is half Jack Russell Terrier, the Queen’s new dog was adopted from Battersea Dogs and Cats Home — the same shelter where Camilla adopted her other rescue dog, Bluebell.
Just last November, another of the Queen’s rescue pups, her Jack Russell Terrier Beth, passed away.
Queen Camilla was in Canterbury to unveil a statue of Canterbury-born writer Aphra Behn, the popular 17th century playwright thought to be the first professional female writer in the English language who also served as a spy for King Charles II.
Jason Knauf spilled his thoughts on the beard, and apparently Kate’s, in a new interview with 60 Minutes Australia.
“I love it. I think it’s great,” Knauf said. “But I’ve talked to him about it — or tried to talk to him about it. He’s like, ‘It’s here. I have a beard.’ No further conversation.'”
When asked how he knows the Princess of Wales, 43, loves the scruff William, 42, has been donning, Knauf bluntly replied, “If she didn’t like it, it wouldn’t be there. I could tell you that.”
Knauf formerly worked as a communications secretary to William and Kate, as well as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, until taking on the role of chief executive for the Wales’ Royal Foundation, where he served until 2021. Now, he works with the Prince of Wales as a board member for the Earthshot Prize that recognizes environmentalism.
William first showed off his facial hair in an August video celebrating Great Britain’s medals at the Olympics — the first time he had a beard since 2008.
Since then, the whiskers have come and gone, with one member of the royal family not a fan of the look: Princess Charlotte, 9, who “didn’t like it the first time,” her father said.
