Breaking News: Meghan Markle’s £4k signet ring is a secret olive branch to Queen Camilla….. Check In

Meghan Markle sported the same signet ring that Queen Camilla has donned over the years.
Meghan Markle turned heads at the Invictus Games after being snapped cosying up to her husband Prince Harry while wearing a gold signet ring, which he reportedly gifted to her. However, she is not the only woman in the Royal Family to own one as Queen Camilla has been spotted wearing the same design
The British Monarchy is renowned for its fine collection of jewellery. From glittering tiaras to sparkling necklaces, they have access to an abundance of jewels, and Prince Harry, 40, has gifted Meghan a selection of heirlooms that belonged to his mother Princess Diana over the years.
Since Meghan, 43, married Prince Harry, she has developed a keen eye for show-stopping accessories. Last year US Weekly claimed that Prince Harry presented her with the lavish gift for Valentine’s Day.
It is believed to be crafted from solid gold and features personalised engraving. It has “HM” imprinted in the middle, which sits in the centre of her and Harry’s royal cypher.
The bespoke design was created following their nuptials back in May 2018, after they tied the knot at Windsor Castle in the presence of both King Charles and Queen Camilla, both 77. Reports suggest that the unique piece is worth at least £4,000.
Steven Stone jeweller’s claimed that this was a bold move by Meghan as it reminded onlookers that she is “still a member of the Royal Family”
They said: “Aside from paying a romantic tribute to her husband, Meghan could also be wearing the ring to signal that she’s still a member of the Royal Family.”
This shows that Meghan has taken note of Queen Camilla’s style and acknowledged the understated jewel, and recreated her own look. Over the years, Camilla has sported the ring on several occasions, which is similar to the one worn by her husband, King Charles.
Signet rings have been a symbol of royalty for centuries, traditionally worn by men – it’s widely known that King Charles has owned and worn the same signet ring since the 1970s,” the experts continued.
Over the years, several royal women have donned the look, including the late Queen Elizabeth. Signet rings are a symbol of family heritage and status and are often worn on the little finger of the non-dominant hand.
Although, on the design King Charles and Queen Camilla have worn for years appear “distinctly” the Princes of Wales crest engraved on the bezel.
The King’s is also made from Welsh gold which has been used to create royal wedding bands for over a century since the Queen Mother married the Duke of York back in 1923.
Stephen Stone continued: “The Duchess is far from the first royal woman to embrace this timeless accessory. Queen Elizabeth II was often seen wearing one, while King Charles gifted Princess Diana a signet ring before their wedding. Queen Camilla has also been spotted wearing one.
