Trump demands millions’ for 15-minute meetings as execs scramble to stay on his good side….. Check In

President Donald Trump has reportedly been charging millions for business executives to attend fancy dinners at Mar-a-Lago for private meetings.
President Donald Trump has reportedly charged millions for mere 15-minute meetings with executives looking to curry favor with the country’s leader.
Executives from various industries, including tech moguls like Meta’s Mark Zuckerberg and Amazon’s Jeff Bezos, to pharmaceutical, healthcare and insurance leaders, have been flying out to Mar-a-Lago.
The meetings have shocked some establishment figures who note that some of these leaders formerly espoused liberal views.
Leaders like Zuckerberg and Elon Musk moving rightward reflects a party loyalty switch occurring in some cases among the business elite class, analysts note.
Stalwart tech reporter Kara Swisher said of Musk on The Ezra Klein Show podcast, “He wasn’t anti-Trump, but he certainly wasn’t pro-Trump. He was very much in the ‘he’s kind of a con man’ school of thought with him. Around COVID, I saw a lot of changes. There was a real shift.”
Trump has reportedly privately bragged about making upward of $500 million from these fawning and in some cases fearful executives, The Wall Street Journal reports.
Nonprofit CEO Kathryn Wylde explained to WSJ, “Everybody who is anybody went down. It was a proactive effort to not be a target.”
Trump has been hosting dinners at his nearly $1 billion estate in a “gold-covered, chandeliered dining room just off the lobby” to discuss wide-ranging business issues with executives.
