Queen Camilla is in the green room with a host of famous faces!
This green room, though, was one of Buckingham Palace’s salons — and she wasn’t taking part in a show.
Camilla, 77, was joined by stars including Oscar winner Cate Blanchett, We Live in Time star Andrew Garfield and former Late Late Show host James Corden on Tuesday, Feb. 18, as she hosted a party for the National Theatre, of which she is a patron.
Also in attendance was Downton Abbey star Jim Carter and his wife Imelda Staunton, who played Queen Elizabeth in The Crown, and Lesley Manville, who played Princess Margaret in the Netflix series.
And, during the party, Camilla was surprised with a scene from a longstanding favorite play. As she was mingling with guests, Camilla was interrupted by actress Sharon D. Clarke and asked to come take her seat for a performance. Clarke, 58, was in character as Lady Bracknell from The Importance of Being Earnest — and a scene was about to begin.
Clarke took to the stage with Ncuti Gatwa, of Sex Education and Doctor Who fame, who took the role of Algernon, while Hugh Skinner played Jack Worthing.
