King Charles hosted an intimate Valentine’s Day dinner for Queen Camilla and close friends at Windsor Castle, demonstrating a touching romantic gesture whilst undergoing cancer treatment.

The special evening marked a rare extended stay at the historic castle for Their Majesties, who chose to spend the entire weekend at the location where they exchanged their wedding vows nearly two decades ago.

A source claimed the Valentine’s celebration was “a quiet dinner for close friends – about 12 in all.”

Windsor Castle holds particular significance for the royal couple, as it was the venue for their wedding ceremony and blessing in 2005, attended by their respective families.

The intimate gathering reflects a departure from their usual routine, as the source told Hello! it was “quite unusual” for the couple to spend extended time at Windsor.

During their Windsor stay, Queen Camilla made a public appearance at the nearby Ascot racecourse on Saturday.

Her Majesty, dressed in a cream cashmere coat dress by Fiona Clare and a Lock & Co hat, presented the prize for the Ebony Horse Club Reynoldstown Novices’ Chase.

The Queen also took time to meet with students from the Ebony Horse Club during her visit to the prestigious racing venue.

The Valentine’s celebration comes as the royal couple approach their 20th wedding anniversary on April 9.
