On Valentine’s Day the Duchess of Sussex took to Instagram paying a special tribute to her other half Prince Harry where she brought attention to their unique differences

Meghan Markle shared a heartfelt Valentine’s Day post this year in which she called attention to her and her husband Prince Harry’s unique differences.

On Feb. 14, the Duchess of Sussex took to Instagram paying a special tribute to her other half for Valentine’s Day. In the post, Meghan shared an adorable black and white loved up snap where the famous couple were seen sharing a sweet smooch as they enjoyed a romantic lunch together.

And in her lengthy caption, one line that stood out was when the mother of two adorably mentioned their differing backgrounds with a sweet metaphor. Under the post, she wrote in part: “My love, I will eat burgers & fries and fish & chips with you forever” – in this she was using the dishes to reference Prince Harry’s British roots and her American roots. In the photo, you can also see Meghan is posing with a half-eaten burger and fries in front of her while Prince Harry is seen with what’s left of his fish and chips.

In the post, Meghan also noted that while they may be apart this holiday, their love is still going as strong as ever. She wrote: “Back home taking care of our babies, and missing my Valentine, as he continues on at the Invictus Games, changing lives and reminding all of us of the power of healing and resilience through these incredible veterans and their families. Beyond proud of my husband and what he’s created.”

Meghan and Harry have been been together since July 2016 when they were set up on a blind date by a mutual friend. The pair went on to share a fairytale royal wedding in May 2018 before starting a new life in California together. During their six-year-long marriage, the pair have welcomed two children including their 5-year-old son Prince Archie and 3-year-old daughter Lilibet “Lili” Diana.
