King Charles was seen having an incredibly awkward interaction with Tottenham captain Son Heung-min as he asked about the current state of the side.
The royal, 76, travelled to the stadium in north London to celebrate the positive socio-economic impact of the football club, and its partnership with the NFL, on the local community.
The King was seen smiling and waving at wellwishers, who were sporting white and blue flags – as he slowly made his way into the football club’s headquarters.
The monarch greeted Tottenham Hotspur’s men’s captain, Son and the women’s captain, Bethany England, who was part of of Sarina Wiegman’s squad that won the Euros in 2022.
During his brief interaction with Spurs star Son, The King asked Son about Spurs’ current situation, in front of club chairman Daniel Levy.
In a clip that appeared online, Charles said: ‘So who are you playing this weekend then?’
