Prince Harry has talked about how he really felt about having Meghan Markle at his side during the first few days of his Invictus Games in Vancouver and Whistler before she flew home to Caifornia
Prince Harry has revealed how he felt about having Meghan Markle “by my side” during his Invictus Games – just days before she flew home without him.
Meghan spent five days with her husband in Vancouver and Whistler for the 2025 Games, putting on a loved-up display, with the pair even seen kissing during the opening ceremony. They were also seen sinking beers during their time in Whistler and even had time for a double-date night with singer Michael Buble and his wife Lusiana Lopilato.
Meghan also used the event to use her newly-launched Instagram account to document what had been happening behind the scenes. However, yesterday it was confirmed that Meghan had flown back to California to get back to her and Harry’s children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. However, Harry will stay on at the event until it closes on Sunday.
And speaking to PEOPLE magazine before Meghan flew home, the Duke of Sussex revealed what it was like to have her with him at the event. He said: “To have my wife here supporting me is amazing. I love that she’s by my side. It’s such an important piece to this whole adventure.”
Meanwhile, Harry also opened up about Archie and Lilibet and how they are also ‘fascinated’ by the event for sick and injured service personnel. He added: “It’s a very interesting conversation to have with your kids — to explain why that person is missing a leg, why that person is missing an arm, why do they look the way they do. It’s challenging but important.
