Breaking: Trump rolls his eyes as Elon Musk questions US democracy in bizarre Oval Office moment…..See More

Elon Musk suggested the US isn’t a democracy but a bureaucracy during a joint press conference with President Donald Trump, which may come across as disloyal.
In a bizarre joint press conference with President Donald Trump, Elon Musk questioned the essence of American democracy, which appeared to annoy Trump.
Musk defended the efforts of his Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) to reduce spending at key government agencies such as the USAID, Department of Education, and the Department of Labor.
Trump tasked DOGE with identifying wasteful government spending within federal agencies. Musk joined the president in the Oval Office for the signing of an executive order aimed at reducing the federal workforce, reports the Mirror US.
Musk said: “If there’s not a good feedback loop from the people to the government and you have rule of the bureaucrat, or if the bureaucracy is in charge then what meaning does democracy really have.”
He added: “If the people cannot vote and have their will be decided by their elected representatives, in the form of the president and the Senate and the House, then we don’t live in a democracy we live in a bureaucracy.”
Musk was standing next to Trump and may not have been able to see the president’s facial expressions, but in photos, he appears to be rolling his eyes at his right-hand man.
The Associated Press has examined a White House fact sheet on the order, which stated that “agencies will undertake plans for large-scale reductions in force and determine which agency components (or agencies themselves) may be eliminated or combined because their functions aren’t required by law.”
It also mentioned that agencies should “hire no more than one employee for every four employees that depart from federal service.”
Exceptions are planned for immigration, law enforcement, and public safety.
