The View star doubts Super Bowl crowd’s ‘broader’ intent booing Taylor Swift, says Trump is ‘most popular he’s ever been…..Read More

She got booed because half of the crowd are Eagles fans, and [she’s] dating one of the star players,” Alyssa Farah Griffin said.
The View star and former Donald Trump associate Alyssa Farah Griffin has cast doubt on any “broader” meaning behind Super Bowl attendees booing Taylor Swift at Sunday’s NFL matchup between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs.
One day after football fans at the Caesars Superdome shocked the pop superstar — and girlfriend of Chiefs player Travis Kelce — by booing her when a shot of her flashed on screen inside the New Orleans, La., arena, Griffin and View producer Brian Teta broke down the moment on the talk show’s Behind the Table podcast.
I’m going to do some pushback here. She got booed because half of the crowd are Eagles fans, and [she’s] dating one of the star players,” Griffin said of the widely publicized moment, especially after Trump later took a swipe at Swift — who supported Kamala Harris during the 2024 presidential election on social media, when he shared video of fans cheering his appearance from inside the same room.
“I don’t think this was anything broader than that. I would remind people, there’s not a national backlash — she packed out that exact same stadium three nights in a row just a couple of months ago in the Eras Tour,” Griffin, a longtime Swift fan, continued. “There’s not a shortage of people who absolutely love Taylor Swift. While I was watching with neighbors, everyone had their kinds running around. Seeing young girls under 10 who watching, like, ‘Are they going to show Taylor?’ I think it’s a cool way to introduce girls to the sport who maybe didn’t like, grow up watching football. But, it’s bringing them into the fold.”
She finished her thought by stressing that “people still love Taylor” and called her “a totally good sport about it” in the end.
Griffin also used the Super Bowl as a gauge for Trump’s general favorability in the country as he launches his second presidential term.
I wasn’t going to say it on the show today because I didn’t feel like choosing violence on a Monday; Trump’s the most popular he’s ever been,” Griffin, who previously worked under Trump’s White House communications team, said, later elaborating: “He’s somebody that does have support in this country. But, I also stand by what I said on Friday’s show when we were talking about Travis Kelce saying he was honored to have him, I also think the Super Bowl is a celebration of America, and there were definitely people who cheered because it’s the American president who didn’t vote for Trump. That’s just a fact. There’s a certain reverence we generally have for our presidents that I think is part of what was shown.”
