Tiger Woods’ mother, Kultida Woods, has passed away at the age of 80. The golf legend announcer her death in an emotional statement.

President Donald Trump expressed his condolences to Tiger Woods following the golf legend’s announcement that his mother, Kultida, had passed away aged 80.

Kultida, a fervent supporter of her son, was seen rooting for him just last week at a TGL match in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. The family has not revealed her cause of death.

Woods shared an emotional tribute stating: “It is with heartfelt sadness that I want to share that my dear mother, Kultida Woods, passed away early this morning. My Mom was a force of nature all her own, her spirit was simply undeniable.

She was quick with the needle and a laugh. She was my biggest fan, greatest supporter, without her none of my personal achievements would have been possible.”

“She was loved by so many, but especially by her two grandchildren, Sam and Charlie. Thank you all for your support, prayers and privacy at this difficult time for me and my family. Love you, Mom.”

Trump took to social media for his homage: “I was just informed that Tiger Woods’ wonderful Mother, Kultida, passed away – She has gone onto greener fairways!

“Kultida Woods was an amazing influence on Tiger, and gave him much of his strength and brilliance. Melania and I send our love and prayers to Tiger and his incredible family!”

Numerous figures, including FOX Sports reporter Erin Andrews who wrote “so sorry,” and NFL star Tom Brady, extended their support to Woods online.

A spokesperson from the PGA of America wrote: “Sending our condolences to the Woods family today.”

Kultida (née Punsawad), originally from Thailand, was working as a secretary at the same military base where .us. Army Special Forces member Earl Woods was stationed in 1966. The couple married three years later and welcomed their son Tiger in 1975.

Affectionately known as Tida, she has been a steadfast supporter of her son, following his journey from junior tournaments to major championship wins. Just last week, Tida was seen cheering for Tiger during his second game in the high-tech TGL golf league.

Before his Jupiter Links team secured a victory against Rory McIlroy’s Boston Common, Tiger was heard saying: “Hi, Mom. Not gonna suck tonight. Okay?” after a disappointing first game in the TGL earlier in January.
